K3b

K3b - The CD/DVD Kreator for Linux - optimized for KDE - licensed under the GPL

27.05.2009 K3b 1.66.0 alpha2 released

Well, 1.65.0 will not be the basis for the bug crush week. 1.66.0 comes with a bunch of bug fixes to the internal job classes and some small GUi fixes.

There are still many open issues with the GUI which needs fixing. So this is only a testing release, not intended for production work.

22.04.2009 K3b 1.65.0 alpha1 released

It has been a long time since the last K3b release. But development has not stopped, it just slowed down a lot during the last two years.

Now with KDE 4 being really stable it is time to finally get K3b out there, too. This is not it yet.

This is a testing release not intended for production work!

Soon K3b bug crushing week will start and this release will be the basis.

27.05.2008 K3b 1.0.5 released

After two weeks without internet connection and hacking on the K3b KDE 4 port I am still not finished. K3b 1.1 (I decided to not increase the major number for the KDE 4 release as it will not have many new features) will again take more time.

In the meantime enjoy this very small bugfix release which fixes three annoyances:

  • Fixed CD Copy device selection when starting from the KDE "run" dialog (Bug 151924)
  • Fixed HAL mounting (thanks to Ken Milmore)
  • Always wait for the drive to become ready before starting verification (this should fix some of the problems with failed verification where K3b claims that no medium is in the drive.)

I hope that I will find some more time for K3b and give you an alpha release of 1.1 soon.
